Making Mobile Development 10x Faster with AI
The platform where mobile apps build themselves.
AI coding tools have transformed web development — engineers now ship features in days that used to take weeks. But those same tools are completely ineffective for mobile. They can write code, but they can't see phones, test on real devices, or iterate when things break. The result is a persistent 10x speed gap between web and mobile development, and it's widening. For consumer app companies where the fastest experimenter wins, this bottleneck is a critical competitive disadvantage.
Minitap closes that gap. Founded in 2025 by Nicolas Dehandschoewercker and Luc Mahoux-Nakamura — two 23-year-old builders who have been developing mobile apps together since they were 18 — Minitap combines Mobile-Use, an open-source AI agent framework that enables AI to operate phones like a human, with Minitap Cloud, which provisions thousands of real iOS and Android devices in parallel. Connected to AI coding environments, the platform lets AI write code, test on real devices, detect and fix issues, and deploy fully functional features with minimal human intervention.
Within just 40 days of launch, Minitap achieved the #1 position on Google DeepMind's AndroidWorld benchmark, surpassing research teams from Google DeepMind, ByteDance, Microsoft Research, and Alibaba.

"We invested in Minitap because at Amigos, we invest in who you are, not just what you do – and Nico and Luc are the kind of founders who redefine what's possible."
Mobile accounts for 60% of internet usage, yet development remains painfully slow compared to web. Minitap is building the infrastructure layer that gives mobile teams the same AI superpowers web teams already have. What convinced us was the combination of extraordinary technical talent — achieving #1 on the AndroidWorld benchmark in 40 days, ahead of Google DeepMind, ByteDance, and Microsoft — and the sheer execution speed these founders bring. We're proud to back the team building the future of mobile development.
